Invisalign is a removeable easy to clean carry and fit trey-based system made of a flexible plastic material called Smart Track. SmartTrack is a BPA-free, medical-grade plastic used to make Invisalign clear aligners. It’s a proprietary blend of polyurethane resins that are designed to move teeth gradually.
Invisalign was introduced to the market in 1998 by Align Technology. Since then, clearer aligners from other brands have come into the market, such as Spark, Clear Correct, and Lab.
Invisalign works by using a series of clear aligners that are changed every few weeks to gradually shift your teeth into the desired position. The treatment time varies based on individual needs, but on average, the aligners should be worn for about 22 hours a day to effectively straighten your smile.
